We test your smoke alarms to make sure they'll warn you if there's a fire.
We check they’re:
✅ In the right location
✅ Working properly (not just pushing the test button)
✅ Within their 10-year expiry date
So you know they’ll work when you need them most.

We test your safety switches to make sure they'll trip if there's an electrical fault.
We check they’re:
✅ Tripping instantly
✅ Not damaged or incorrectly installed
✅ Protecting the right circuits
So you know they'll protect you if something goes wrong.

We check your switchboard to make sure the wiring and connections are safe.
We look under the covers for:
✅ Signs of damage or heat
✅ Outdated parts
✅ Loose connections or unsafe wiring
So you know what's happening behind the covers.
Our Electrical Home Safety Check is a professional, comprehensive 30–45 minute check of your home’s electrical and fire safety.
We clean and test your smoke alarms to ensure they detect smoke (not just press the test button), confirm they are correctly located to protect your family, and check for expiry dates.
We also go 'behind the covers' of your switchboard to tighten wiring connections and test that your safety switches trip instantly if there's an electrical fault.
We only need access to your smoke alarms and switchboard.
If your smoke alarm keeps beeping / chirping, it indicates a low battery, dust build-up, or that the unit has reached its 10-year service life.
During our visit, we can identify why it's chirping and fix it on the spot.
If the alarm has expired or cannot be fixed, we’ll provide you with clear options for replacing it.
Yes, but only briefly.
We turn the power off for around 5–10 minutes while we inspect the wiring and connections at your switchboard, including behind the panel and beneath the covers to check for any loose terminals, heat or damage that you wouldn't otherwise see.
We'll give you notice before switching it off.
For homeowners, we recommend professional smoke alarm testing every 12 months.
While you should test the button yourself regularly, an annual professional check ensures they are working properly and that your home and family remain protected.
If a smoke alarm has expired or fails testing, or there's a hazard in your switchboard, we’ll explain what we found in a way that's easy to understand.
We provide clear pricing — with no hidden fees — for any repairs or replacements.
There is no pressure to proceed; we give you the facts so you can make an informed decision about your home’s safety.
Yes.
If it's found to be past its expiration date (they have a 10-year service life) or faulty, we recommend the smoke alarm replacement is done straight away, during the same visit.
So you can know your home is safe and your family are protected.
Our licensed electricians carry quality, Australian-made replacement alarms in our vans that come with a full 10-year warranty.

It’s easy to overlook the things protecting our home — until something goes wrong.
Throughout Dubbo, we often find:
⚠️ Expired Smoke Alarms: After 10 years, they can't reliably detect smoke & warn of a fire.
⚠️ Outdated Safety Switches: Older units that don't trip during an electrical fault.
⚠️ Hidden Risks: Loose connections behind the switchboard covers.
These fail quietly — leaving you no way of knowing you're at risk...
Stop wondering if your home is safe — with our Electrical Home Safety Check.
Many of the 4,500 annual house fires in NSW start at night. Since we can’t smell smoke while asleep, we depend entirely on our smoke alarms to be working to wake us.

Almost half of NSW house fires occur in homes where alarms are faulty, expired, or missing. Regular testing is the only way to know your home is protected.

40% of house fires are caused by electrical faults. Switchboard or wiring faults can be identified and prevented during our Electrical Home Safety Check.
